Het heeft ook een goede hechting, een goede filmvormende werking, isolatie, oliebestendigheid, slijtvastheid en eigenschappen van gasbarrière, en heeft typische chemische eigenschappen van polyolen en kan verstering, etherificatie, acetalisatiereacties maken
