Loxoprofen sodium is an organic sodium salt having loxoprofen(1-) as the counterion. The parent acid, loxoprofen, is a prodrug that is rapidly converted to its active trans-alcohol metabolite following oral administration. It has a role as a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, a non-narcotic analgesic, an EC 1.14.99.1 (prostaglandin-endoperoxide synthase) inhibitor and an antipyretic

Function

2. Loxoprofen Sodium has overlapping allergic reactions with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as aspirin.It is forbidden to use for the patients who is  allergic to aspirin and Loxoprofen Sodium

3. Loxoprofen Sodium is with caution on who is with peptic ulcer or a history of peptic ulcer

4. Loxoprofen Sodium has anti-inflammatory effect.
