Metal nitrites or metal nitrates are also added to improve stability and prevent decomposition. The isothiazolinone mechanism of action is to break the bond between bacteria and algae proteins to have a killing effect. After contact with microorganisms, it can quickly and irreversibly Inhibiting its growth, leading to the death of microbial cells, has a strong inhibitory and killing effect on common bacteria (sulfate reducing bacteria, sludge forming bacteria), fungi (iron oxidizing bacteria, molds, yeasts), algae, etc. It has the characteristics of high biocidal efficiency, good degradability, no residue, safe operation, good compatibility, strong stability, and low use cost.
