Custom molded rubber bellow boot
It is used in a wide range of applications to seal out dust and environmental elements in applications with a design range of motion or stroke. The most common structure is composed of two connectors and a convolution region where the connectors provide the assembly interface and the convolution (bellows) region provides for the design application travel
We offer both straight and tapered bellow designs in various sizes and connector types. If one of our "off the shelf" bellows will not work in your application, or if you may need a rubber compound not listed, please send us a quote request. All our bellows are grouped by their smallest connector size for your convenience.
Generally, rubber boots and bellows are types of seals with a series of convolutions commonly used in applications to protect equipment or parts from dust, debris, moisture, or other forms of environmental contamination. Most commonly our products are used where there is a stroke, rod or range of movement in the application (dynamic sealing).
In many applications bellow ventilation is a critical design feature to prevent pressure or vacuum conditions when the rubber bellow is actuated in the application. Ventilation can be accomplished in a number of manners, but typically is accomplished with the addition of breather holes in the bellow. For harsh environments, Columbia has a range of filters that can be molded into the assembled bellow to help prevent the introduction of large foreign particles into the application. In addition to breather holes Columbia also offers various types of custom
